April Meeting Registration

The Benjamin Franklin Chapter is thrilled to announce that Past Eastern Section President Ernest M. Davis is our presenter this month. Ernie will speak on A-C Motors Basic Theory, Article 430, based on the 2020 NEC. Article 430 has very special rules for the sizing of the conductors, the overcurrent protection, the disconnects, the feeders and branch circuits, and so much more. Do you know that motor overload protection is not usually provided by a breaker or fuse? How exactly does electricity enter a motor and become rotational force? A journey through the astounding physics and codes associated with motors awaits! DO NOT MISS THIS!

Ernie has been in the electrical field for 59 years, is a chapter past president, was a longtime member of the Eastern Section Board of Directors, and is also a Section Past President. He continues to serve on our chapter's board and has been awarded a lifetime membership. He is a source of wisdom, inspiration, and knowledge. Ernie retired from the School District of Philadelphia as a facility manager and continues to operate Davis Technical Training, LLC, consults and teaches for other institutions, is a licensed electrical contractor in Philadelphia, Chester, New Jersey, an electrical inspector holding UCC category 11, 19 and 25, and a New Jersey instructor (#1010.)

Our sponsor, Billows, will provide an industry update. All attendees who register will receive an emailed CEU certificate.
